Ingredients

Cephalothin                                        7.5mg

Vancomycin                                       5.0mg

Trimethoprim                                    2.5mg

Amphotericin B                                 1.00mg

Polymyxin B sulphate                     1250.0 IU

(per vial, sufficient for 500ml of sterilized medium)

  Storage

Vials should be stored in sealed container in cool, dry location and protected from direct sunlight.

  Instructions for Use

Aseptically rehydrate 1 vial contents into 2ml of sterile distilled water. Mix well and add into sterilized molten medium when cooled to 45 – 500C. Use the medium according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. Store the prepared media plates inverted at 4-8°C for not more than 7 days.

  Microbiological Tests

For TM 071 COLUMBIA BLOOD AGAR BASE and for TM 041 BLOOD AGAR BASE No. 2 – Cultural

characteristics observed after inoculating (103CFU/ml), on incubation at 35-37°C for 18- 48 hour.

For TM 682 BRUCELLA AGAR BASE – Cultural characteristics observed after inoculating (103CFU/ml), on incubation at 35 ± 2 °C under 10% CO2 for 18 – 72 hours.
