MODIFIED MYP AGAR BASE alongwith 50ml Egg Yolk Emulsion (TS 002) or to 200ml TM 851 SALT POLYMYXIN BROTH BASE.
Composition
Ingredients mg/500ml (per vial)
Polymyxin B Sulphate 50,000 units
(pe vial, sufficient for 500 ml of sterilized medium)
Storage
Vials should be stored in sealed container in cool, dry location and protected from direct sunlight.
Instructions for Use
Aseptically rehydrate the vial content into 2ml of sterile distilled water. Mix well and add into sterile molten medium when cooled to 500C and dispense as desired. Use the medium according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. Store the prepared media plates inverted at 4-8°C for not more than 7 days.
Microbiological Tests
The following results were obtained on inoculating different culture strains (103CFU/ml) at an incubation temperature of 35 – 370C for 18 – 48 hours in Bacillus Cereus Agar Base (TM 1120) / KG Agar Base (TM 1207) / Salt Polymyxin Broth Base (TM 851) or to 450ml of MYP Agar Base (TM 197) / Modified MYP Agar Base (TM 1255) alongwith 50ml Egg Yolk Emulsion (TS 002) or to 200ml Salt Polymyxin Broth Base (TM 851).
